Noel vs his own music videos

Seems Noel Gallagher has finally realised what most of us knew 20 years ago – that Oasis were shit (mostly) and that their videos were terrible. Check out this Oasis DVD comment track highlights for extra lulz.

Funny thing is I remember NME and probably Melody Maker touting their new LPs as ‘the best thing EVER’ – even Be Here Now, LOL – and I’d love to shove those articles in the faces of the payola journalists now in 2014 and make them eat them. Total gravy train bollocks – people flogging pasty xeroxed indie-Beatles to the unwashed singalong masses, cos it was popular not because it was good (see also Kasabian, Muse, Interpol, The Automatic, The Kooks, Travis, Campag Velocet, SMASH, Coldplay, U2, Libertines who I actually didn’t hate early on, Bloc ‘Dullest band ever’ Party, Arctic Monkeys, etc – mostly what me and Kirk call Landfill Indie.)

Well at least this is funny and he realises now, whereas I can’t see Kasabian or Liam ever having any insight on their knobbishness in years to come. (via ben soundhog)
