One way of telling if a major new track has dropped is the amount of mashups that suddenly pop up at Sowndhaus and elsewhere. It’s also a good sign of something big. The newest Depeche Mode track ‘Ghosts Again‘ is one of those, the first track since the death of Fletch aka Andy Fletcher and it’s a existential meditation on time. A precursor of their new album, Memento Mori.
And already I count at least one mashup and a remix already since it was released 14 hours ago – from DSP and DJ Tripp respectively.
Love the video again riffing off Ingmar Bergman – did I say Ingrid before, NOT the same person? LOL. Of course Anton Corbijn is referencing The Seventh Seal.
I mean if a Depeche Mode track is released and Tripp doesn’t mash or remix it, was it ever really released? 😉
Oh and Laether Strip already has a cover out. Checkmate!
