To celebrate today’s release of the new Depeche Mode album, Memento Mori, there’s a video for my ABBAstard track Ghosts of Fernando! Black and white moody-tastic! Actually the two videos mesh quite well, with Martin and Dave meeting like the characters in the revolutionary Mexican story, to play chess – which was also the musical that Björn and Benny did after ABBA.
I think this is also the only Fernando mashup in existence?
Also there’s a Ingmar Bergman referenced in the DM video, which reflects the Swedish dark nature of Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid. As always with new videos, I’ve uploaded it to the Internet Archive as well for posterity.
