Return of Lionel Vinyl – Ian Dury Mashups

Lionel Vinyl is back – aka FAKEID, Gloomybear, Geoff Carpet, Geek Chic Soundsystem seriously the man has had more aliases than me. Now named Ian Geek, I’ve been checking out his Twitch streams, very good – yes I am totally Team Dancing Golem – and now recently he released an excellent new mashup over at Sowndhaus – Reasons to be Cheeky Pt 3 (rough-cut) Chic’s Freak Out vs another Ian, Ian Dury’s Reason’s To Be Cheerful, the first in 17 years, so another old-school bootlegger is back in the fold 🙂

I found out about it via HallMighty who made a response mashup with another Dury track – “Wake Up And Make Love To Me’ vs Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa.

I for one welcome our Ian Dury mashup overlords! (Two words: Mashup Album). There aren’t enough Ian Dury mashups, especially ones not using ‘Hit Me WIth Your Rhythm Stick’ which seems the go-to for the few that exist.
