Ian Fondue Katy Perry vs New Order Regret Part of me mashup bootleg bastard pop cover

Ian Fondue – New Order vs Katy Perry

Great new mashup by Ian Fondue, taking one of my favourite tracks (Regret – New Order, which was released when I turned 20 so it feels like a proper ‘coming of age’ track unlike that #1 on your 18th business) with Katy Perry’s Part of Me and the mood just fit like a glove. ALL the feels.

For those that don’t know – e.g. TMK/YouTube new gang, Ian was one half of Fondue Meltdown, one of the first wave of bastard pop producers – along with Freelance Hellraiser, Richard X, Frenchbloke & Son, Cartel Communique, Luke Dsico et al back in late 2001-2002. What is now being called on the Discords as ‘legacy producers’ which makes me feel like an archaic IT system. Do you want to play a game?

That was nearly 20 years ago? Eek!

And I hope everyone has their party hats ready, because in late August (or was it early September?) I reckon we’ll hit 20 years of modern mashups with the anniversary of the release of Freelance Hellraiser’s Stroke of Genieus. I. Feel. Old.

Anyway this is a classic mashup in a similar vein, and will be played on a future podcast (but that might be a while hence this post). Oh and New Order mashups are always welcome.
