The return of the mashups, now re-integrated back into polite society and the podcast, now mixed live with non-mashups a merry sort of chaos (no-one mixes music like this!). This is the second ‘Towelcast’ – originally streamed live from The Disco Bathroom.
If you watched the stream (well the bits that haven’t been trimmed or muted, no thanks to so-called ‘indie’ ‘punks’ *cough* striking down the live stream?) you would have seen and heard rubber duckies, Imperial Leather Queens, bowler hats / Techno Amish & Disco Hasidic looks, stealing 3D glasses, Light mode vs disco Dark Mode, Out of Sink Cam, HYPE TRAINS!!!11111 and the Hitchhiker’s Guide To My Bathroom Contents. A bit of that insanity snook into the podcast.
Oh and I nearly forgot we played some music – uptempo lockdown house and George Michael covers (closest I can come to playing GM nowadays post UMGGate) and disco Beasties mashups to baggy bootlegs and A Very Crumpl Kitchen Disco mix as DJNoNo drops in and drops some Debbie Gibson vs rave/Syrian Techno Dabke realness, queer punk and punk n’ bass, swing metal and surprising metal covers, topical 80’s cold war and ambient chillness, Electro hyperpop and a Cillit Bang, sorry Cilla Black ending
