Checking through my old emails I found this excellent song sent to me by The Other Planets – a few months late but I think the woozy vibe fits the summer* even better.
They are a New Orleans self proclaimed psychedelic ‘weirdo-rock’ outfit, with a Flaming Lips influence which doesn’t hurt, but with the added NOLA swampy jazz vibe which sounds like a perfect match. You can buy the album over at Bandcamp (yay!)
* Unless you’re in the UK that is. Oh well, it reminds the cold grey UK that at least somewhere there is heat and light…
