It’s not often a band has my by the first play, but ‘You’re Almost There‘ is one of those songs. It’s woozy haziness I am obsessed with at the moment. Like a mist on a lake or half seen light, the band name is very apt.
They’ve followed it up with this video for ‘Keep on Trying’ by Alex Southam for of what looks like somewhere near Newcastle (South Hylton?), a seaside town and it’s community and it’s hard not to fall in love with it. In fact the video had me before the song, and then the song won me over. Double clicks, 66! (via Stereogum where you can download the MP3)
They’re ones to watch, with an album out ‘Gracious Tide, Take Me Home’ in a few weeks.
