I’m excited for the new Bob Vylan album that drops later in the week, so checking out anything I’ve missed for the podcast I found this collab with Kid Kapichi called ‘New England’ from a few months ago = a title with already a lot of history to deal with.
It says everything I want to say about the current state of affairs in the UK, and the video is brilliant. Fool Britannia indeed – “Is it you can’t change or that you won’t change?” and the ending refrain that reminds me of something I said around Brexit ‘You ain’t shut them out, You just locked us in’ – total Rorschach vibes – yes you’re locked in here with us!
Also this merry little number from Kid Kapichi, ‘Party at Number 10’ is right on cue as well. I used to rant here occasionally about the state of the world and things going wrong, until it got so bad with the Tories that would be a daily phenomenon.
The offshore horror that is Rwanda reception centres, partygate, Rishi and his contactless non-dom wife and green cards…the downwards list goes on. I despair.
When are we going to have a revolution in this country and stand up against all this?
