Next up after the DJLex Lizzo vs NIN mashup that everyone seems to love played on RC 320, is this REM vs Cypress Hill mashup from DJ Jamie Derelict (hmm, alias?) which isn’t new, but has a new apocalyptic video to keep your foot tapping and eyeballs occupied as the zombies take over.
And apologies to the producers of these mashups for the following rant, it’s not really anything to do with their work nor reflect their views – but this needs to be said:
This thing IS completely insane, had to ditch a few people who think that I should be inside, Duck and Cover-ing with tinfoil on my head, constantly afraid and not even go out to exercise – people who I know have large homes or flats to lounge in, palatial compared to the tiny flat I live in.

Sorry, nope. If these are the last few days of late stage capitalism, or indeed maybe my life, I am going to try and get as much artwork done as possible, as safely as possible for me and other people. And screw rich or better-off people trying to tell me how to cope when they have all the cards (and probably toilet paper).
If you’re rich you can get a test seemingly easily, poor or NHS frontline you get told to fuck off and die at home. The government knew that they needed more ventilators and space for bodies (!) in 2016, but ignored it and cut the NHS to the bone and laughed about it thus killing a load of people. And NHS heroes being told to be quiet over lack of PPE – even being sent home in this crisis! Also around the world these emergency measures are being used to settle old scores and attack populations – are we next? Oh hai foreign born NHS staff, we’ll allow you to stay to save our bacon now and risk your life but probably throw you our next year (they should be all given right to remain as heroes).
We are NOT in this together, those who can recover in Balmoral, their or even Fiddler’s Green style luxury retreats or proclaim from their comfy nest are not the same as the rest of us with packed accommodation, no money, self-employed and struggling to cope.
Let Them Eat Covid-19 seems to be the plan. As I’ve said before: class and social genocide.
