Didn’t know there was ANY footage of Bar 2, at Psalter Lane, the Art College in Sheffield where Pulp had their second ever gig, Human League had their first along with a band called Vice Versa.
Two years after this they were on the top of the charts with Lexicon of Love…yes this is ABC inc Martin Fry on the left, Mark White & Stephen Singleton. It was a while before they realised he had THAT voice and everything changed.
Oh and in a small way I joined this history, 14 years later my first VJ and later DJ sets were there…this area was the dancefloor then! Also looks like most of the gear hadn’t changed. Sadly they knocked down most of Psalter Lane including Bar 2 in 2010.
