Hit n’ Mix software – extract sounds from MP3s and WAVS

This is a new one, software called Hit n Mix which extracts sounds from MP3s or CDs for remix use – not tried it yet but it looks like it’s doing a similar thing to Melodyne (forms of spectral analysis?) but extracting multiple instruments from a track…I think we’ll see more tools like this and the idea that you need multitracks or acapellas to remix will be less important (although I note they didn’t take the worst examples which are vocals vs piano and vocals vs guitars since they exist in the same frequency range – I wonder if their analysis can cope with those?).

And nice to see Mark Vidler aka Go Home Productions still using Acid Pro and Soundforge – OLD SKOOL!
