ah – Well Do Ya Punk?

Been meaning to post about this for ages – ah! aka Alan Hurley dropped an amazing punk (ish – more of that later!) mashup album. I mean there aren’t (m)any mashes of Amyl and the Sniffers, The Damned, Undertones, Viagra Boys or Stiff Little Fingers? So good work there.

And of my faves – love the Punk vs Daft of Daft Punk Rock Loser & The Giorgio Boys (Viagra Boys vs Daft Punk) – that’s the only Viagra Boys mash I know of? Or On A Hertz Like This (Kylie Minogue vs Amyl and the Sniffers) – again not away of any mashes of AatS? Which is sad because like Viagra Boys they rock.

Also Just Like My Cousin (The Cure vs The Undertones) – Cure vs Undertones seems so obvious now, and again extra points for not doing Yet Another Teenage Kicks mashup! Now we have AI separation, there is NO excuse.

Other keepers included Sound Of Da Police Truck [Gibusnipu Reboot] (KRS-One vs Dead Kennedys) which there are a few DK mashes, but not many of Police Truck, and I’ve already earmarked I’m On Smoko On A Chaise Longue (The Chats vs Wet Leg) for a future play on the podcast. And also kept I Fought The Toxic Law (Britney Spears vs The Clash), I mean I’ve heard too many Toxic boots for several lifetimes, but that Clash track is rarely mashed.

So expect to hear some of these in future podcasts!
