Back to lighter and less serious times (although I suspect now that was just a freak pause), this mix from Rob Manuel as l_o_n_g_w_a_v_e is indeed a radiophonic trip.
Very hauntological and nostalgic in the vein of The Focus Group and others recreating library music and ‘logotones’ and radio idents for the teens..Given that this includes Delia Derbyshire AND Hitchhiker’s Guide, as well as the Queen espousing weed (!) and many nods to BBC radio history and that’s just the first 30 mins…then it is right up my Portland Place.
