Self isolate with a podcast

I’ve been mostly self-isolating for a while apart from the odd socially-distanced walk where I tend to frown at anyone coming closer than a metre (people are getting better at it, some shockers though who seem to want COVID-19!) and the odd frantic dash round fairly empty shops. I know quite a few of you are in the same boat. Oh and online life and portrait drawing – this is a thing now!

So you’ve listened to all my podcasts *ahem* and are bored – what to do?

Well there are a few podcasts and YouTube things I can recommend that have helped me. Obviously number one I regularly listen to and will be catching up on is The Lloydbrary – great eclectic music and always something I’ve not heard before…usually quite a few things actually.

A more recent one I’ve been checking out is David O’Doherty’s new podcast, all about self-isolating on a rainy Irish island with his parents. If you know anything about him, you’ll know he can get surreal….and seemingly isolation makes that more so. Very funny.

And just now found that as QI postponed filming the rest of the series (I went to one early in March before they went without an audience, then postponed it entirely) Sandi Toksvig is doing a daily online YouTube series called Vox Tox about her books. Just started watching but it’s fascinating.

I am working on a new podcast, but problem is with two people here it’s hard to get it recorded (unless the weather breaks, I also want to spend daytime outside walking or creating art, away from people, not stuck inside recording a podcast). I should have some alone time later in the week.
