The CD for this finally arrived a week or two ago and all the 200th episode rush (it’s mentioned in the show, though) I forgot to blog about this – yes Evolution Control Committee aka Trademark G is back with a new album, All Rights Reserved, and like Plagiarhythm Nation before it, it’s a good ‘un. If you get past the User Agreement telling you not to listen to it, that is…you naughty things!
My favourites are Hillbilly Beatboxing, The Shakes (hey they sampled Lush!), California Dreamings and the tracks such as Pertaining to the Beat & Don’t Let The Devil Blow Your Mind ,that would make Irwin Chiusid proud sampling the likes of Luie Luie’s Touchy and other outsider tapes and songs. I also still did an older track, Stairway to Britney, which you can hear in I think a slightly earlier form here, or download off the site.
You could just download the tracks but that would be a shame, since the CD on Seeland has another disk with Ableton and Acid projects, multitracks of several of the tracks, additional bonus tracks and a really cool DVD-style commentary by Trademark G and Christy Brand on the album.
