Sometimes I feel really out of the loop – this is one of them, but it seems that the world has been strangely quiet about Abigail Wyles. I came to her a rather circuitous route – via Doc Daneeka who has remixed and worked with her after he was played on Annie Mac’s show on Friday. Love the video, love the voice, love the production and music from co-writer Holly Simpson.
Apart from being on the Chase & Status album, and the collabs with Doc Daneeka I see very little apart from her Facebook page? Odd, since this is so good. And after listening to a lot of minimal deep house or fairly generic vocal house, a refreshing change. The Doc Daneeka mix is well worth hearing/getting also. Good late hot night music.
