Hinterland is what I call the period between Christmas and the New Year, that strange waiting room time where it's not the next year and you slowly eat the leftovers and the Christmas/New Year blues kick in. A grey snowy/rainy hinterland where light barely enters, and things seem rather bleak or weird. This is a 2023 dub/punk new year themed episode dedicated to Terry Hall of the Specials and FB3 who died recently, Vivienne Westwood who I heard about immediately after I recorded this podcast, and the 20th annviversary of the death of Joe Strummer., Wilko Johnson who died in November and Jet Black of the Stranglers who died early December. It's been a bad month in the world of punk.
