Now posted in full a few hours ago - the joy on Tracy Chapman's face as the whole crowd go nuts at the start of that repeating riff, the back and forth like a live mashup, Luke missing his cue on the first chorus together, his obvious joy at being on stage with her Also her version is having a long-deserved renaissance as well, and I hope we see more attention to her work. And not only is she the first black female songwriter to top the country chart, and although the song didn't win at the Grammys this year (boo!), she has won four Grammys, including best vocal performance for that song in the past. So moving, and there's a reason I chose to mash this song at Christmas, because it's theme of wanting escape but being imprisoned by family ties and duties is one very close to my heart (and indeed is a real problem at Xmas).
