To celebrate the launch of the new film and the world going pink (preferably Stuart Semple's copyright-free version, fuck Pantone as Cat Grafham says), I'm posting my recent mash - Fifty Fifty's new track 'Barbie Dreams' for the new film, so had to mash it with Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and of course, Aqua's track which was used in the trailer. I reckon in about a week the world - at least the LGBTQ* parts - will go totally pink, given the excellent soundtrack and on-trend neo disco songs from Dua Lipa and Sam Smith. I noticed after I did this that Bootie in San Francisco is also doing a party later tonight to coincide with the film launch - would love if this was played at that - although I'm sure they are struggling to find tracks that don't use Aqua! I was quite resistant to putting it in but it just works so well. Lots of pink camp fun, hopefully like the movie. It's also kid friendly, it only uses the less dodgy parts of Aqua's track!
