Every once in a while - in fact rarely, a song stops you in your tracks. This happened today with '2p Machine' by Francis Lung...A wonderful magical story of Sasha and the 2p Machine - oh I was obsessed with those tuppenny falls as a kid too - something very magic realist about this, and the 80's/90's arcade 8-bit graphics video just reinforce that fact. I've noticed a fair few people seemingly inspired by Arab Strap 's story-telling crossed with Kae Tempest and Jarvis Cocker's mundane world of wonder, and I am so HERE for it. I heard this via Steve Lamacq's 6Music show, and a brief google says Francis Lung was part of Manchester band WU LYF . Me neither. Want to hear more of this, though
