Usually I get my tributes out immediately when musicians I love die, but I was totally dumbstruck when I heard a few days ago that Vangelis had died. To me, he's Beatles or Elvis or Rolling Stones level; a majpr influence in my listening and composing. And that's why I couldn't just throw out a tribute to him; to explain how important he is takes a lot longer than posting that Chariots of Fire video with #RIP. There's a lot more to Vangelis Papathanassiou than that.
