Broadcast a few days ago, here is Soulwax aka 2Many DJ’s take (again, they did quite a few mashups back in the day including remaking Erol Alkan’s infamous one for Kylie at the Brits) of New Order’s Blue Monday, including the history of the track. I guess they released it on Blue Monday itself? It seems to include various live versions, including the infamous Top of the Pops ones, studio demos, and more. It takes something to actually track a well-worn track like Blue Monday and do something different with it, so many people have tried. Only criticism? Too short! (via Ian Fondue)
