The KLF takes revenge on a fan’s Ford Timelord replica (I heard they invited him though?) – observant people will recognise the owner saying ‘Oi’ and ‘No’ and driving off, it’s Phil from Phil n’ Dog. I knew when I saw the car in the footage from Wednesday that it probably was his car, or one of them (I think he’s had several? This is a newer one though). Poor Phil, although I did laugh when he drove off, he doesn’t seem happy. Also heard they threatened to push it off a cliff.
It seems the event in Liverpool is about how far they can push the fans of the KLF, with a made-up band Badger Kull with ‘hardcore’ fans, rules about unofficial merchandise and giving people jobs to do like being a ‘Hardcore Badger Kull fan’ or ‘roadie’ or interestingly part of the JAMs Choir with Nick Coler (of SFX – Lemmings fame, and also KLF programmer). I suspect the coffin in the back of the Ice Kream Van is full of their master recordings, DATs, artwork etc or some symbolic link to their KLF/JAMs past…I think the whole Mumufication/Burning is a wake.
I’m glad it’s getting messy, but I think the attendants should fight back – the two seem to think they are the only anarchic artists in the area, the only one who know about Discordianism. I hope someone turns their van into a similar ‘art work’ and/or people start disrupting the event. Cos you play with chaos, you get burned…FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! Or maybe that is what they want?
Someone should paint the side of the Ice Kream Van with a Phil n’ Dog logo, or steal the coffin. Can’t be a funeral without a coffin 😉
