Crumplstock 3 After After Party Mix aka Almost Psychodelidisco 2

I wasn’t planning to do a mix for Crumplstock 3, so this is a surprise mix (even to me) and me winging it on the fly with a live broadcast mix, as I used to do at the Parkade all those years ago, or on Radio Clash Live.

I got my arm twisted to DJ after the After Party – hence the name…you see flattery will get you everywhere!

Some sound problems means that the Mixlr is less than great, sounding rather appropriately like a cassette playing on the Moon (but less appropriately, I err, kicked the soundcard so it dropped out on the broadcast, but not the local one – and you’re hearing my monitor mix I hear in my phones so the mixing will sound a bit shonky) but luckily 37 mins in I clicked record – wish I’d done all of it, but as it was all on spec I’d not planned anything.

It came out rather well, I think using nearly all tracks I discarded for Psychodelidisco so it’s a sort of it’s queerer sibling – more Hi-NRG, more Italo, electro, more flamboyant – I mean Raquel Welch? Hot Leather? Macho Disco? Hey Hey Guy? 😉
