Ceefax Twin – Protect And Survive

Sadly not in Glasgow so can’t go to the Ceefax Twin nights, but I can listen to this mix of ‘nuclear funk’ and electronic library music about a now not-so distant age of cold war and nuclear threat. The nuclear threat might be more Chinese owned nuclear plants going all Fukushima nowadays and cold war more Ukraine/Syria and Putin, but weird how it all comes around.

Also features the voice of Patrick Allen, from the adverts I remember on the telly as kid – also sampled by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (Two Tribes et al). It’s very British, as if you’d actually survive…and if you did, roving gangs of humans would be a bigger risk than the fallout…
