Fans of music history, Duran Duran or Birmingham should watch this series from Birmingham Music Heritage…the one above is a Duran Duran special extended cut from the longer episode called ‘Untold Stories’ which you can see on YouTube below. Always amazed me the diversity of groups coming out of Birmingham, and the high quality…and that Manchester and Liverpool gets all the love but Birmingham gets a little overlooked, even as the second biggest city in the UK!
It includes interviews with ex- and current members or managers of ELO, Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Fuzzbox, Joan Armatrading, Steel Pulse, Musical Youth, UB40, Toyah Wilcox, Magnum, The Move, The Beat, Dexy’s, Pop Will Eat Itself and many more. Well worth a watch! (thanks to DJ Not-I for the Duran video!)
