YouTube has been pulled (and the official video is Geoblocked in the UK, because obviously John Olliver has no fans in his home country!) but it’s on Facebook, or for some time, maybe, Vid.Me or DailyMotion:
John Olliver interviewed Edward Snowden, as well as grilling him he also helped him communicate to the American public who seemed unaware of who he really was. This is where comedy works brilliantly – the example of sext pictures being caught in the NSA dragnet gets over how privacy is invaded, and also leapfrogs the frankly technical and quite boring details. John Olliver is right – most in America don’t care about foreign surveillance, which is sad and worrying, it takes the NSA showing nude pics it’s captured to each other like some sort of trading card game for people to be bothered. But hopefully that ‘image problem’ is solved in a very funny way. (Audio is NSFW) (via DJ Not-I)
