Last words of Rik Mayall – well not the last, but some of the last recorded, for this scarily appropriate video ‘Don’t Fear Death’, which he voiced last year. Like the wonderful words of Ade Edmondson who said ‘And now he’s died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard.’ it seems an appropriate epitaph for the comic who died earlier today aged 56. The spooky thing? Me and Kirk were watching the video of the Young Ones & Cliff Richard version of Living Doll in the early hours of this morning (we both bought that single on 7″, think I still have it somewhere – ‘All the little flowers are happy…’.)
