Solar roadways

At last! Someone invents something which feels like THE FUTURE. No jetpacks, no hovercars, plenty of stupid watches that don’t even have teleporters or TV or even a friggin’ phone yet – but roads that light up, self heat and generate electricity? I’m down with that. BRING. IT. ON.

      Did you go to their website? I think it mentions it in the video too…first point in their FAQ: https://web.archive.org/web/20150924103534/http://www.solarroadways.com/faq.shtml

      Just because the glass you use in windows and in crockery is smooth, doesn’t mean all of it is, nor has to be. In fact in it’s rough form I’d say the crystals are probably grippier than smooth tarmac.
