Douglas Adams Quote

A personal mantra

Well apart from Marvin’s “Life, loathe it or ignore it, you can’t like it.” which is a mantra I repeat almost daily and should tell you a lot about my approach to life,  this Douglas Adam quote is one that has stayed with me since I read Hitchhiker’s as a small kid. This one is from the intro to Restaurant at the End of the Universe and is probably the best Story So Far introduction, ever.

The other I love is the foreword to the original book which I think the above is shadowing:

Many were increasingly of the opinion that they’d all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans.
