Wealthy inequality in America

I’m guessing this probably maps onto other countries too, well in the West at least – but interesting how the public perception of ‘unfair’ and the ideal is far beyond the reality. I knew it was screwed, but when the final graph kicked in I was surprised it was that unbalanced. Much is made of the 1%, and some say it’s a bullshit statistic, but not according to this. 1% do own 40% of America, and CEOs earn an amazing 380x their average employee. This is an unbalanced system and is getting worse, so at what point does revolution happen? I suspect it’s got to be a lot worse before that, because the pervasive illusion of the American Dream and The Good of Capitalism, people aren’t going to want to step off that treadmill until they are starving in the streets.
