Amazing 3D printing project from Amanda Ghassaei where she printed her own records – at the moment quite low res (11Khz! Feel the quality!) but I could imagine a new industry of people printing bespoke records, or DJ DIY at home creating their own vinyl masterpieces and literally ‘hacking’ the vinyl.
Or even copying rare ‘unplayable’ or broken records via laser/optical scans and reconstructing them, which could be a lifesaver for those ‘lost’ records.

And she’s gone on to make laser cut records made of wood and plastic. Genius!
