Over the last few aeons I’ve been uploading the older shows to Mixcloud as well as the new ones. Currently up to show 150, working backwards…my top 10 – well 11 – highlights of those earlier shows pre 200 are:
- Radio Clash 157: Beatles #5 – Tragical History Bore – part of the Beatles shows, this is very mashup packed!
- RC 158: Negativland 1 – No Other Possibility – 2 part show all about Californian media pranksters Negativland
- RC 162 – Semi Acoustic – probably one of the best shows of this period:
- RC 168: Rewind to the 80’s Part 2 – a long time coming, this was a fun 80’s themed show with remixed, covers and mashups
- RC 173: Radiophonic at 50 – the 50th anniversary of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop
- RC 178: Tim and Kirk Show – Whatever Happened to Baby Jade? – the last Tim & Kirk Show
- RC 181: Switching Channels – I also uploaded the other half, from Skip to the End so you can hear that too side by side (as originally intended)
- RC 184: Quiet Storm -the angry/sad show where I’d just cleared out my mother’s house – that’s her clock in the skip on the cover
- Radio Clash 185: Moving to the City (London part 1) – I really enjoyed doing these shows about a specific location, and there are many songs about old London town
- Radio Clash 192: Return to Summerisle Part One – the Wicker Man Freak/Acid folk shows seem to be eternally popular…
- Radio Clash 200: Do You Remember the First Time? Part 2 with Ian Fondue – great show about mashup history with Ian Fondue (of Fondue Meltdown, one of the pioneers)
