If on this Saturday night (or early Sunday morning) looking for a film to watch, you couldn’t go far wrong with The Rage In Placid Lake, a strangely unknown Australian film with Ben Lee as the star, Rose Byrne and Miranda Richardson being wonderful as usual (and his then girlfriend Claire Danes makes a cameo).
Surprised this film wasn’t a bigger hit, Ben Lee can act (he should do so more often!), and it’s a quirky kind of journey through someone trying to rebel against his hippy parents and find himself. Also I think more movies should be officially on YouTube, there are a lot of publicly funded gems especially in British cinema that strangely are hard to find even though they were paid for by public funds.
