I can sense a ripple in the MemeForce – yes it’s that time again for random 8-bit covers to explode out into the wider world* and here is Lazyitis’s cover of This Charming Man done Nintendo 8-bit style. It’s got the thumbs up from NME and Rolling Stone, and more importantly the genius that is 8-bit Operators.
* and mashups again, oddly? I thought NME et al thought they were ‘too 2002-3’ to cover anymore? Congrats to Gav Reborn Identity as that Lana/Smiths mashup has serious legs atm.
Already there’s another cover of Girlfriend in a Coma so I expect more will pop up…and probably hit a box and go ‘ding!’ and a coin appear. Nice 1P!
