Sad to hear at the weekend of the death of Martin Rushent, producer of several of my favourite songs and albums of all time – the singles off Dare by Human League and Homosapien by Pete Shelley (probably my favourite actually) and the Buzzcocks LPs amongst others from Stranglers, Go Go’s, XTC, Altered Images etc.
Here’s Human League doing my favourite from that album ‘Sound of the Crowd’ – on my very first DJ set which happened to be at the location of HL’s second ever gig, I played this off 7″ and everyone danced…
