Proposition 8, the one against gay marriage deemed unconstitutional! Woohoo!

Yes I know this won’t be the end of it, appeals and Supreme Court blah blah blah* but one step in the US towards treating people equally – in a way that’s behind a lot of the world I hasten to add, including here where civil partnerships have been legal for years. Hopefully the land of the free eventually extends that freedom to it’s LGBT members too.

* and I won’t mention the polyamorous caveats I have, promise 😉
