lvlvlv1 aka DJ white knight is a mashup stealing cunt plagiarist.

lvlvlv1 aka DJ white knight = talentless mashup stealing plagiarist

Name and Shame time: there’s a mashup thief called lvlvlv1 and also DJ White Knight about claiming false credit for making mashups and remixes inc my Go Your Own Steinway mashup.

This happens from time to time, sad and pathetic people try to enlarge their tiny e-Penis by stealing other people’s work and claiming it as their own. Yes I don’t own the rights either; but when all you have is credit for making a combination work it’s cheeky for someone to come and claim it as their own – especially when you’ve done all the work! Note this is exactly the same mashup, he’s not remade it, it’s the same production to my ears.

8)Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer & Andy Moor vs Motorcycle (Disco Trance Mashup)
9)Fleetwood Mac-Go Your Own Way lvlvlv1 🙂 (Trance Mix)
10)Ronski Speed & Gareth Emery vs Ferry Corsten, Super8 & Tab (Trance Mashup)

More galling – and the reason I’m calling him out on this, usually I ignore stuff like this – is the asserting that it’s trance. Its NOT TRANCE FFS. Fred Falke is not trance (french house), Fleetwood Mac is not trance (MOR rock), even Eric Prydz on a bad day is not trance (club house). Steal my mashups BUT NEVER EVER CALL THEM TRANCE, DICKWEED. I have never done, and will never do, a mashup or remix using trance. I hate trance.

So this lvlvlv1 = a complete tw*t, go make your own mashups and remixes, and stop nicking other people’s work. So now I’ve just splatted your name all over google as a talentless cock who plagiarised other people’s work (you really should enable comments), consider yourself slapped.

Thanks to pomDeter for the tip, he’s nicked one of his as well, and a few others possibly. And one of Martinn’s – see the comments for their take on this (I am not alone in having work stolen by this man).

And see the follow up post which should be linked below where he reported me for ‘hate speech’ for calling him talentless. Well if you have to steal other people’s work, then yes you have no talent.

EDIT: Restored to it’s former glory as surprise surprise, despite his futile ePenis threats and puppet accounts (see below) GoDaddy didn’t pull the plug despite his pathetic butthurt email. Maybe less of the dodge bleach job next time, lvlvlv1? It must be eating through to your brain.

Look at your own c/p were it says 8) 9) and 10). I don’t see where the guy is taking credit or giving credit to anyone. You’re calling him every name in the book for mis-labeling tracks? Oh my. How old are you? That sort of attitude will only make people flock to his site even more. My parents taught me at a very young age not to mess with anyone that I don’t know. I teach that to my children now. Besides, don’t you moderate these responses? So what makes you any different from him? The difference is that if the response you get is to your favor, you’ll post it. If not, you’ll delete it. Grow up Tim!

moderating responses is a little different from mislabeling tracks as your own.

I ALWAYS credit all artists I use or stuff I play, as best I can – and give credit to others. It’s the least I can do – I might be using their work without their permission but nothing pisses off people more than have their work taken and reused without at least credit.

I’m 37. I’m sure at 70 I would still be annoyed people taking credit for my work – debatable whether I ‘own’ it yes but it’s my remix, my mashup. I may not own the constituent parts, or even legally own the final result – but I did put it together.

Seems very odd response to immediately go ‘but you’ll delete this’ in expectation of doing so. It’s a slightly trollish strategy…weird. I never delete stuff I don’t agree with – even the management of a band having a go at me. I only moderate cos of spam (I get in the region of 200-300 spam comments A DAY – 1000-3000 A WEEK!) and got fed up of weeding out the false positives. I would delete stuff which is needlessly offensive (racist, sexist, homophobic) – attacking comments but luckily people here are far too respectful to do that so never had to.

Rosalbat91 – I have to ask because your reply seems a little, well, strangely defensive – are you lvlvlv1?

    2. Tim avatar

also interesting unlike here, lvlvlv1 doesn’t allow ANY comments on his site. I wonder why…I’m not the only one to be ‘mislabelled’ – there are at least 2-3 others who’ve been ‘mislabelled’.

Not so much a mistake as intentional?

And name and shame – calling him out might seem childish to you, but what can you do? Ignore someone claiming stuff you put together as their own? If it was something I legally owned I’d contact him, but he knows that I don’t’ ‘own’ it in that sense, so is using it with full knowledge that none of us can do anything. All we have is credit. So name and shame it is.

Yes in the long run who gives a fuck – but this isn’t the first to do this…and it is a really sad thing to do, claim anything you didn’t put together as your own.

Wow. First off Tim, thank you for posting my reply. That was noble of you. Second, I’m not lvlvlv1. Third, you never really answered my response. The guy never mentioned that it was his work. I have kids and would hate for my kids to see this kind of name calling on a music website/blog that they enjoy. You’ll only steer traffic his way and away from yours. Fourth. You’re 37. Really? Don’t you have kids? Would you want your 3 & 5 year olds to see your remarks and ask you what it means? Fifth. You called me a name also Tim. “Trollish strategy” suggests calling me a troll. How sad Tim. Sixth. Your own words again say that you delete posts due to spam.

    1. Tim avatar

I did answer this – did you read the post:

‘9)Fleetwood Mac-Go Your Own Way lvlvlv1 🙂 (Trance Mix)’ – next to all the tracks he put ‘lvlvlv1’ next to them in that list – or did, hence copying that chunk of text. That’s pretty clear to me he’s claiming credit.

Secondly – I doubt you have read or listened to Radio Clash for very long if you’re asking me if I have children!

Thirdly – yes it IS a troll-like thing to say ‘I bet you’ll delete this post’ – it means you’re saying something you think will offend that person, and it’s a strategy (used sometimes by trolls) to try and wheedle out of it. Does that make you a troll? I don’t know as you’re at a hotmail address and have never commented on Radio Clash before, and obviously aren’t a longtime reader…and have ‘called me out on my crap’ and told me to ‘grow up’ and called me ‘sad’ – which I also note others don’t choose to use such emotive attacking language, or suggest I delete people’s posts that aren’t complimentary (which is far more insulting than any names) first comment or not.

Years ago my first comment would have been far less civil than enquiring gently whether you are a troll or lvlvlv1…

Hence why I mentioned it, to point out that trolling (which is basically spamming) will be ignored or deleted, as will be any ‘but that’s censorship’ debate. I’ve been online for 14 years, and seen and read it all…and I think this conversation is going in circles and might degrade so I’ll say goodbye here.

Hi Tim. I never respond here either, but I think that Rosalba may be right here. The title is indicating “Go your own way lvlvlv1” with a smile and the “(trance mix) branding being seperate from the title.

    1. Tim avatar

well then why were the other tracks in the mix or on that blog ‘Track name lvlvlv1’ too? Including I think ones also lvlvlv1 didn’t make (there’s one by pomDeter, another by Martinn which are identified as his elsewhere)…the suggestion is he made it? Even if it’s not directly stated.

This one is pomDeter’s – not his, for example: http://superremixesandmashups.blogspot.com/2010/02/metallica-vs-run-dmc-lvlvlv1-mashup.html so is the title ‘METALLICA vs RUN DMC – lvlvlv1 Mashup’ is somehow accidental?

And it aint a trance mix, was never titled thus (nitpicking but I made it, so I can kvetch about that 😉 – in fact the title is wrong, it’s ‘Go Your Own Steinway’)

    2. Tim avatar

also does a smile mean I can get away with plagiarism or taking credit falsely? Didn’t know that…

Dj Al. Don’t waste your time. This is a kid pretending to be a 37 year old.

    1. Tim avatar

interesting how both you and DJ A L H are coming from the same IP.

      Busted. Try harder, lvlvlv1.

Hi Tim, I’ve never responded here either but I can assure you I’m not lvlvlv1, ha!

In fact that’s the reason I stumbled onto him in the first place, there was a blog crediting my boot as “pomDeter aka lvlvlv1”. I’d never have found out otherwise as I tend to steer clear of anything trance.

I guess it could be a case of mislabelling, like he accidentally renamed the mp3 and changed the artist field to lvlvlv1. Oh, and accidentally remaking artwork (albeit to a pretty poor standard), could happen to anyone I suppose. pfft
Although there is nothing that clearly states that lvlvlv1 made these mashups, there is a blattant attempt at removing all traces of the original mixers. To claim that it could be a misunderstanding is an insult to our intelligence.

If he really needs new content on his site (to generate whatever revenue from ads or file hosts no doubt. I do have an issue with that, as would Metallica) then why not make a proper blog reviewing all these great new bootlegs and remixes he’s found instead of claiming them as his own, can’t be much more effort than renaming tags and respect would be gained instead of being branded a thief.

Thanks for taking the time to call him out Tim. Must be hard running this blog being a single mum with 7 kids an all.

    1. Tim avatar

      thanks for replying 😀

Yes it’s hard especially when the GYBO coupons don’t stretch at Lidl 😉

A quote from his own blog, where he explains he’s not stealing:

    ——————-
    “Point #1:
    Link #1: From Martinn Bootlegs:
    http://martinn75.blogspot.com/2010/05/lets-all-smell.html

Please listen to his mix before listening to mine. Now here is my mashup.
Link #2: From my YT channel.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cTAWII8FDg

As you can hear, the mashups are NOT the same! I’ve used the same tracks and then some!
    ——————

Now, as you can hear the creative part of this mashup lies in the pairing of Nirvana pella over the MZBand song, the cuts, the choice and placing of samples, which makes it special. That combination and editing is MY idea, MY effort and MY work.

Now, if you listen to lvlvlv1’s mashup, the only difference is that his’ has a longer intro and with some Startrek samples on top. If you don’t know mine and listen to lvlvlv1’s, you’d think HE made that combination and HE made those cuts and HE placed the samples where they are. In fact all he did was taking my mashup, extending the intro, adding startrek samples, and labeling it as it’s own, taking full credit for it. Now, I don’t mind people using my mashups, but at least I’d like to see ME credited.

    Big props for Tim here!

    1. Tim avatar

Thanks! Glad others are facing up to his stealing.

he didn’t even bother to ‘remake’ mine either – it’s a direct rip. Exactly the same…he couldn’t have ‘recreated’ mine unless he happens to use exactly the same sources inc some rare spoken word samples, exactly the same software and exactly the same reverb settings and exactly the same production techniques which is impossible (hard enough to make something sound similar let alone exactly the same).

I suppose I should be honoured he thought it good enough to steal – then again he called it trance and ‘reported’ me.
