You know it takes real effort to be memorably, totally, irrevocably bad. Most people manage ‘not good’ or ‘average’ or ‘quite shit’ by default, but a few manage to enter into that Zen state of self-denying shitness and produce something which in itself is an Epic Artform of Badness.
Final Placement (for that is their name) manage this. Did no-one say anything?
P.S. Apparently according to the stand in guitarist, him and the drummer had to try and play live to an existing recording without metronome (and not recorded in any known key it seems) – actually if you listen apart from that awful solo the drummer and guitarist can actually play fairly well and are trying to keep in time, but nothing could save this mess…
Still I like the Shaggs comparisons and hope they keep at it…they’ll either get better or more interesting, either way they have fame (or infamy) to look forward to 😉 Established bands can’t get the attention they are getting – use it! I wish them luck…
