RIP Bad Young Brother – Derek B is dead

At 44 no less, from a heart attack in Charing Cross Hospital.

Although many might wonder ‘who?’ or scoff now, he was the first signed UK rapper, and also produced and was A&R for the early UK rap scene, even supported Public Enemy, Cookie Crew and loads of others, had several hits in the 80’s, and remixed Rob Base and EZ Rock’s ‘It Takes Two’ on the original release. Sad news indeed.
