Blurry photo of lights Radio Clash 66: 666 Down for the Upstroke mashup eclectic music podcast cover

Radio Clash 66: 666 Down for the Upstroke

Down down deeper and down…with odd covers, music from the last Bastard ever ™ and some chilled Sunday evening sort of vibe.

Sorry not in a cheery mood today – hope you enjoy the music.

P.S. Got it wrong in the previous show – was looking at the Smoosh CD and they are 10 and 12! I think with inflation they are now something 11 and 13…13 was involved somewhere. Kids these days, getting younger and younger…

I can tell you for sure that the “What time is love” cover is definitely Kasier Chiefs. It was done on a live session on Jo Whiley’s show in the afternoon where she gives bands songs to cover and they chose that one. The Radio 1 played to too many times to mention that week hence why I can come here and say for sure that is it Kasier Chiefs.

It’s great how Radio 1 can murder interesting music, isn’t it?
Just wanted to say how much I am enjoyed the shows. It’s shows like this that have pretty much replaced listening to the radio for me. Radio 1 has almost totally lost it. So yes, please, I beg you, keep it going!

Great show Tim. I love that Portishead cover. With regard to what Vim is saying above. I listen to the Saturday Blue on listen again but almost nothing else. The 6 mix can be good on 6music.There is something annoying about Chris Coco but I really like Rob da Bank, but I don’t know what it is.

Love that TMBG mashup. I’ve actually listened to tons of TMBG and don’t find it quite as boring as you do… but this mashup definitely adds a flavour to the work that they don’t have.

Did this come off the Mochipet CD, or … some… other… way…
