Great to see a website up and running. How is WordPress working for you? I’m thinking of switching over, but don’t know many bloggers/podcasters who use it.

Oh and I have a nice little piece of CSS code on my website which styles an orange XML button with the simple use of a span tag… Don’t know if would be any use, but I find the default location of the XML link in Kubrick a little obscure. Oh and before I forget I LOVE YOUR SHOW! So far I have passed it around several podcasters and they have all flipped. Awesome material.

It’s great – only took me a day or so with CSS to skin this, I was surprised….and as it uses Themes you can of course update the code as needed (it’s easier to edit one of the default styles in a new differently directory) and not nuke your design changes.

You’d probably need to know PHP if you want to make radical changes or install most plugins but not a massive level, if you can say run and install or mod phpBB then you can easily do this. But the default installation or themes don’t need that, just the odd plugin requires a bit of editing but they usually tell you what to add.

Downside is that Worpress 1.5 alpha only supports RSS enclosures, not 1.2 off the site, so you’d have to use one of the alpha nightly builds…that said they work fine, as you can see here. Quite a few of the plugins don’t work for 1.5 yet, so it might be best to wait until 1.5 goes into beta or release.

Any slightly quirky bits ATM are mostly CSS I haven’t changed yet BTW! And big tip – edit the ‘classic 1.2 style’ and not Kubrik as I did, there are a few little odd quirks with the Kubrik theme…

And thanks for being my first ever comment on my blog!

Yes I have a RSS 2.0 button made with that ButtonMaker, haven’t added it yet, but will…:-D

Like the Comments CSS is a bit quirky ATM, have loads of stuff to add, like a Home link and navigation, which seems easy to add…
