One of Sheffield’s finest sons Joe Cocker has died at the age of 70, which seems far too early despite his heavy rock star lifestyle. Most will probably will be scrambling to find footage of Woodstock that hasn’t been DMCA’d online, but I prefer this funky track ‘Woman to Woman’ which most people already know as that sample in 2Pac’s California Love. (Coincidentally the only track of his I can stand, probably because of that, the vocoder line which is also not original and Dre’s rap offsets the frankly terrible 2Pac verses.)
