Disclosure Amstep from Amsen

Refreshing to have remix sent direct to me with a simple ‘here’s my latest remix and here’s my FB bio’ – and even better that it’s a good remix of Disclosure’s Latch by Amsen. The genre tag on Soundcloud says ‘amstep’ which sums it up really, not really dubstep, not future garage, somewhere in the middle, somewhere Amsen 😉

Amsen is a 23 year old DJ and producer from Australia, and although her other more housey bootlegs & remixes aren’t totally my thing (nothing wrong with them, it’s just not a genre I’m into), it’s obvious to me that there’s someone here who has that rare DJ skill, a ‘sense’ for how to rock a floor (‘bedroom’ mashup and remixers take note: there’s one place to learn that, and it aint at home!).

One to watch, definitely.
