Digital Debris returns with Delia Derbyshire 50th Doctor Who podcast

Probably a record for a podfade or as we at Radio Clash like to call it ‘just popping down to the shops‘. The shops are of course in Timbuktoo…

It’s nearly 5 years since my last digital debris podcast and nearly 50 years since Doctor Who and it’s theme was shown. So I journey into the world of ‘De La Russe’, more well known as Delia Derbyshire the creator (and some say co-composer) of that show’s theme and many other BBC Radiophonic works. Lots of rarer spoken word and radio works she did are featured, rather than just the ‘usual’ which of course make an appearance but along with spoken word clips and readings as is usual with digital debris.

Thanks to Martin Guy and many other DD fans for the audio clips that otherwise would have made this podcast impossible, and those people whose documentaries I mixed in.
