Just finished listening to 117 – great show as always. And I think you did a pretty fair job in your assessment of the US and our gun-fetish. I personally don’t get it myself, but those who like guns tend to get rather … possessive of them. And the thought of losing their firearms, or even losing the right to buy bullets who’s popular name is “cop killers” is akin to removing their cock with rusty grapefruit knives.

This country is nothing if not contradictory, and I do love it for that, but I do worry about it. Thanks to the current group of idiots I’ve given up thoughts of travelling freely around the world until I develop a good Canadian accent. Someday though.

Only your weird and funky ass can put Cradle of Filth and Drum and Bass back to back!

Awesome show. Helped me cleaned my flat! 🙂

I thought Cradle of Filth was drum and bass? Is it not? 😉

Glad you all enjoyed it! No US death threats (yet)

    Tim,
I’m only up to the Dead Kennedy’s song, but I’m calling this cast one of your best yet.

    Cheers.

“I Don’t Like Mondays” banned in the US? Nope, was quite popular actually, esp. here in Southern California were the incident that inspired the song took place. An urban legend, perhaps?

We don’t usually ban music here – First Amendment and all that. Music is suppressed if it violates copyright blah blah blah, but you know that. Even Ice T/Bodycounts’ “Cop Killer” was reinstated on the album after the furor died down.

ANYWAY, fine show and thanks for the spin!

Hmm it used to say on Wikipedia that it was banned, now it’s gone. Damn Wikipedia….

    Really great podcast!
Some really twisted shit in there, very fitting for the theme. I was half expecting to hear some Marylin Manson mash up too. I must say, this is the first time I’ve experienced breakcore as light relief. I didn’t know that about “I Don’t Like Mondays” either, so chilling.
