Radio Clash 98: The Come Down eclectic music mashup podcast cover shows me in the bath

Radio Clash 98: The Come Down

Up, up and away on my beautiful so beautiful balloon…but eventually, you’ve got to come down.

A downtempo show after all thee glitz, glamour, gore, gall and guff of the last 3 gigs – the adrenalin’s worn off, the greasepaints off (err did I ever wear that?!?) (shh – metaphor ed) and I’m preparing for San Francisco…and the big 1-0-0.

Duntempoing (48Mb, 63mins)

  • Lionel Vinyl – Bad Hair Day
  • Aretha Franklin – Chain of Fools
  • Joy Division – No Love Lost
  • Grace Jones – She’s Lost Control
  • Low- Transmission
  • Thea Gilmore – Ever Fallen in Love
  • William Shatner – It Hasn’t Happened Yet
  • Laura Veir – Galaxies (from SXSW 2006)
  • DJ Tripp – Breathe Roads
  • Mary Lou Lord – I Figured You Out
  • Heatmiser – Not Half Right (bonus track on Mic City Sons)
  • Aretha Franklin – Bridge Over Troubled Water (from Cosmosonica)

I almost picked “Transmission” instead of “Shame” for the upcoming (oh wait shhhhhhhhhhh…the audience is listening). Glad you played it!

Funny I almost played No Love Lost on the Peel WoBcast. It’s always been my fave Joy Division track.
    Excellent as always,

Great show! This one and the 2 Sheffield shows are some of the best yet. Keep podcasting and we’ll keep listening.
